iPhone SMS+MMS Extractor Review
Have you ever been in the situation where you need to transfer all of your text messages, SMS or MMS messages from your phone to your Mac? If so, you know that doing that can be a real hassle. Perhaps you are switch business phones and want to backup your messages and media files, but are not sure how to do this.
Well there is a new application called iPhone SMS MMS Extractor for Mac, and I am going to give you the skinny how this app works and how it can help you.
To test this application for the review, I first sent myself a bunch of SMS messages and MMS messages from another phone. I also downloaded some video files and audio files from the internet. The application is quite easy to use, and there is a comprehensive help system available online.
Once you start the application, there will appear the main workspace which shows all the device which are connected (or have been connected if you use multiple devices). After you click on a device name, all the contacts that you have exchanged messages with are shown for that device. When you have the device selected, all messages for all contacts are shown in the workspace message panel.
There are several areas of application functionality. First there is the SMS/MMS transfer functionality. This functionality requires that you turn off the iCloud backup on your iPhone and have the latest version of Apple iTunes software installed on your Mac.
You will need to connect your iPhone via USB cable to your Mac in order to transfer SMS and MMS to your iPhone. The iPhone SMS MMS Extractor for Mac software will automatically read all your SMS and MMS messages into the main workspace area in the application. Messages can be filtered by contact by clicking on the contact name.
Once you have your contact selected, you can right click the contact name and choose to backup all messages to the iPhone SMS MMS Extractor contact database that is stored on the Mac. You can also export the messages and MMS media files to a text file, csv file, html file or PDF. The message extraction ran pretty fast, under 20 seconds, and all of the details were exported properly. You can also print the messages if you are attached to a printer.
For the purposes of backup and transfer, this application lives up to it's claims. If you are looking to backup your phone, this app is for you.

Good way to backup your iPhone messages
This app worked great to export messages and MMS media files and can also transfer other files such as video and audio to your Mac. This app is easy to use and is fast. I like that you can use multiple devices with this software and not have to create multiple accounts, like you normally have to do when using iTunes. If you want to make sure you save all your messages, get this app.
